The Filcon Round Filter Plant is unique because the design of the filter is based on the natural flow of air inside a cylinder. By means of gravity, the dust and sorbent will automatically be removed at the bottom of the filter during operation.

In order for any filter to operate on a optimal basis it is necessary to have a well defined air-stream entering the filter.

Our engineering team has developed more technical solutions in order to achieve the best air flow – one of these is to design the reactor with special guiding sections which will even-out the flow (see principle below) and at the same time secure a optimal mix of the activated carbon and lime or bicarbonate.

This design will minimize the consumption of the secondary waste and by this as well the operational costs.
